Artichokes. These edible flowers are one of the most gorgeous vegetables for me. As tasty as beautiful! I love them just roasted and sprinkled with a lemon juice or with hummus. A week ago I’ve made a tart with artichokes and added a few roasted aubergines. They made the taste more sweet and tender. So buy some artichokes and grab the recipe!

This is one of my mum’s recipes. I like making recipes which my mum used to make many years ago for my own family. Isn’t it magical?

Nowadays we can buy any jam we want in the supermarket. There are plenty of flavours: classic sweet and savoury, herbed jams, vegetable jams, etc… I can’t call myself a person who make a huge amount of jam every season, but there is always something magical in “jam-making” process. Something from childhood, which always reminds me my mum and those thrilling feelings that I’ve felt every time i opened a jam jar. Today I want to share a recipe of one of my favourite jams – peach jam. Absolutely simple to make and absolutely delicious to eat!

While talking about eggs for breakfast my two favourite ways to cook them are poached and scrambled. But I love to make every breakfast special. I never make two same breakfast in a row. That’s why I need a huge number of breakfast ideas. Frittata is not one of the boring options.

I honestly think that one of the best way to utilise summer berries are crumbles and cobblers. Because it is quick, it’s as much healthy as it could be besides raw berries and it doesn’t need your cooking skills. It’s a perfect way to make delicious dessert when your friends or parents call and tell that they’ll be here any moment.

I don’t want to write a lot about scones. You know how much I like this kind of pastry because of their simplicity as well as their taste. Even if you are afraid to make pastry you might make good scones! Few days ago while deciding which recipe to share I thought that I have a lot of blueberries and I still didn’t make any berry scones. What else did I need?

I’m kind of a quiche-obsessed person. Because I think it’s a very good nourish breakfast, like a breakfast 3-in-1. It’s also such a fun thing to choose pie filling. Fish or meat, or just vegetables… Vegetable pies are my favourites (like Spinach-Feta pie or Quiche Lorraine).
I’m not a vegetarian, but I don’t eat meat very often. To be honest, I forgot when I ate red meat the last time. That’s why I’m a huge fish lover!
Yesterday while thinking about what to make for breakfast I decided to make quiche with white fish. I added a bit of asparagus because it’s in season and I always have it in the kitchen.

Rhubarb is a fairly new friend for me. I didn’t know about this plant a few years ago. But someone had given me a slice of rhubarb pie and it was love from first bite! Then I thought that was an apple pie, it tasted very close to apples. I started to search everything with and about rhubarb and try different ways to cook it.

I told you so many times how much I love courgette fritters, did I? This is one of my top-5 breakfast things. I make courgette fritters at least twice a week. I never get enough of them. Also they are so easy to make! It should be a healthier version with oven-roasting, but I like to fry them on non-stick pan and always add some dill or chives. I recommend to serve courgette fritters with soured cream or creme fraiche. Have a look!

I like to interpret classic recipes into new ways by adding unexpected ingredients or changing type of flour for example. I enjoy those daring experiments. The result surprises me every time, and in most cases I’m satisfied with it. That is when I share my results with you. So thank you for your support and experiments, they inspire me much more. But there are also some classic recipes which I love and respect and I would like them to be in my blog.
